The County is updating fee schedules for the Environmental Health and Onsite Wastewater departments, effective August 8, 2026. These adjustments reflect the actual costs of providing regulatory services, processing permits, and conducting routine inspections. The updated fee structures allow the departments to maintain critical public health and environmental safety protections.
The Environmental Health and Onsite Wastewater departments are committed to protecting the health of our community and the safety of our public environments. To continue delivering these essential services efficiently, we are implementing a revised fee schedule effective August 8, 2026.
Why are fees changing?
Like many organizations, our costs to process permits, conduct site evaluations, and perform routine environmental monitoring have increased. Under state and local guidelines, regulatory fees cannot exceed the reasonable cost of providing the service. This adjustment ensures our departments are sustainably funded to provide timely inspections, plan reviews, and technical assistance without relying on general tax revenues.
